Established in 1988,
Double K Diamond Llamas started as a dream of owning a few llamas so we could continue hiking in the high country of Colorado even after our two sons were born. In twenty years it has grown to a handspinner's herd of 47 llamas and 6 alpacas all producing fine, soft fiber that is used in many products and garments.
Double K Diamond Llamas offers a unique opportunity to experience
guided llama pack trips in the Rocky Mountain National Forest.
Experience the lighter side of a Colorado high country excursion on a llama pack trip! Our insured, certified guides have extensive knowledge of Pouder Canyon, the Raewaw backcountry, and the Continental Divide trail.

By grooming the llamas for packing, we discovered all the wonderful ways that llama and alpaca fiber can be used.
Spinning, weaving, felting, dyeing, and knitting llama fiber became a new aspect of our business. Now our Studio on the ranch is full of students learning the basics of Fiber Arts. Through our classes you can experience for yourself the delight of working with alpaca and llama fiber.
When you're in the Fort Collins area, stop by and see the llamas. Take a Fiber Arts class or just sit on the deck and enjoy the sunset! The coffee's on and we're ready to share these mystical and peaceful animals with you!
